I was ready to purchase this item @ $8.98 until checkout included $13.98 in shipping & handling. Navsphere lists S&H @ about 4.99 for this price range but doesn’t even list this item. So, I will keep my eyes open at such places like BigLots/Dollar Stores and pick up a $2 beanbag ashtray (you know – like from the 70s) which is basically the same thing! or improvise something similar. Use your noggins consumers.

Does this thing have a center that is plastic or metal. I have the round one that has the center pice that is “PLASTIC” does anyone know what happens to plastic when you put it in on the dash???? Remember the old casetes the would not play after you left them in the sun or in the back window? If you are old enought you remember the old 45’s that you carred around in the back window and them tryed to play them, it was like going on a back dirt road. Anyway puting this thing in the sun will worp the plastic center as mine did and now the thing will not hold the GPS. I plan on cutting out the center out and replacing it with a pice of METAL.

I have tried several different dash mounts in my car for my TomTom,

nothing worked. I recieved this yesterday and it works! This product sticks even if you put armoral on your dash and I did, everything slid off. I am so pleased that I just ordered another one for my son.

I would highly recomend this product to anyone that has something to mount on the dash.

I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 260W and after extensive research as to a portable mount such as this one, I found this to be just what I needed. It holds the GPS in place beautiful and I was taking somewhat severe turns and/or uphill and the mount and GPS stayed in place beautifully. I am impressed and pleased I found this (and found it at a great deal as well.) You can not go wrong purchasing this mount.
